When to use it
Use it after a mistake, once the immediate fix is done. Describe the specific change you've made to prevent it. A checklist, a reminder or a review step is more convincing than a promise, because it doesn't depend on willpower.
Example
Manager: “How do we avoid this next time?”
You: “I've added a checklist step so this can't slip through again.”
In an email or Slack message
In a follow-up: “To prevent a repeat, I've added a ‘check recipients’ step to our send checklist.” Naming the exact change shows it's real.
